Can they really be serious? The Ministry of Defence is proposing
to shut disabled employees up in cupboards in the event of fire
breaking out in its offices.

Minutes of a meeting on the refurbishment of its Glasgow
offices, say: ‘There are to be fireproof areas, similar to large
cupboards, where disabled persons will be placed for safekeeping
during a fire.’

No doubt they will be left there to await rescue while
‘able-bodied’ staff run for their lives.
