Wait till the music stops

It’s musical chairs time on the jobs front in Wales. Over the
next few weeks hundreds of social workers will be deciding where
they want to work after next April.

With eight social services departments being split into 22 –
with the creation of new unitary authorities – practitioners are
spoilt for choice.

One told a recent transitional committee meeting he was within
walking distance of the offices of two councils, could reasonably
bike to a third, and would consider commuting to two more by
car.

Are we talking overkill here?
