Abuse findings

Better trained mental health professionals, therapists and
counsellors are needed to help survivors of sexual abuse, say most
of the 102 adult respondents to a questionnaire for campaign group
Accuracy About Abuse.

Half of those who had seen mental health professionals,
including social workers, considered them ‘unhelpful or positively
damaging’.
