Bright spark

So a teenage boy with a high IQ and 100 convictions, who is
serving five months in a young offenders’ institution, has been
granted legal aid to sue Bolton Council for not sending him to a
school for gifted children (News, 20-26 July).

But with a brain like his, and his undoubted ability for
reasoning, shouldn’t he conduct his own defence?
