Glasgow is to host the UK’s largest exhibition for
sensory-impaired people, carers and workers. The event started in
1983 with only 11 exhibitors and 80 visitors. Last year it grew to
150 exhibitors and 1,000 visitors while this year it has attracted
many more specialist groups and mainstream organisations. Among the
attractions are: individual low-vision assessment; personal welfare
rights advice; sighted guides, and sign language interpreters. The
exhibition will take place in the Central Hotel, Glasgow on 22 and
23 March.
