Commission to rule on Sion Jenkins case

Sion Jenkins, the deputy headteacher convicted of murdering his
foster daughter Billie-Jo Jenkins at the family home in Hastings,
East Sussex in 1998, applied to the Criminal Cases Review
Commission for another appeal last week. It will now decide whether
the application contains new evidence.

Jenkins lost his court of appeal case in December 1999, and was
later refused leave to appeal to the House of Lords.
