New York guru for Harrogate

New York’s deputy mayor Anthony Coles, widely credited with
delivering massive changes during mayor Rudi Guiliani’s
administration, is to speak at this autumn’s national social
services conference in Harrogate.

The Local Government Association event, from October 17-19, will
hear how enormous social change and improved quality of life was
achieved in New York in a short space of time and how people with
disabilities and economic disadvantages have been included in the
revival.
