Scots launch drugs awareness adverts

The first phase of a £6.3m nationwide
drugs awareness campaign by the Scottish executive began last week.
Television adverts were transmitted across the country as part of
the Know the Score campaign, which will also include radio
advertising, a website and a 24-hour information telephone
line.

Research carried out last year revealed that
14 per cent of 16-24-year-olds were misusing drugs. Sixty-eight per
cent believed the executive was not doing enough to discourage
misusers.
