Fewer Jewish people to staff homes

The future of care homes that cater for Jewish
people depends on the financial and volunteer support from a
declining number of Jewish citizens and finding enough Jewish staff
to work in them, states a new study.

The
report, from the Institute for Jewish Policy Research, says that an
extensive system of care is provided by UK’s Jewish community
organisations. It found that Jews going into long-term care
generally choose to live in either a Jewish voluntary sector care
home or in private facilities that specifically cater for their
needs.
