Study reveals mental health problems of homeless young people

The mental health of homeless young people is often neglected by
services.

According to a report from the Mental Health Foundation, mental
health problems are eight times as high for people living in
hostels and bed&breakfast accommodation as people with
permanent addresses.

The report says: “It is critical that young people’s voices are
heard, not just to map their routes into homelessness É but to
help workers assess the availability of supportive
provision.”
