Cash for schools access

Schools are to receive an extra £100m to make them more
accessible.

Ramps, lifts and easy-to-open doors for children with mobility
problems will be prioritised. There will also be cash available for
enhanced paint schemes and adjustable lighting for
partially-sighted children, and acoustic loops for deaf
children.

The money is part of an overall £956m government package for
investment in school buildings over the next year.
