Students are not represented on the working group tasked with
thrashing out proposals for reforming the curriculum for 14 to 19
year olds.
The 14-strong working group, chaired by former Ofsted head Mike
Tomlinson, includes a senior executive from the MacDonald’s
hamburger chain.
The working group will develop proposals for stronger vocational
programmes and assessment arrangements which will recognise a wider
range of achievements. It is due to report next summer.
