Boost to Welsh voluntary sector

The Welsh voluntary sector is to benefit from more than £4m
from the Welsh assembly, health and social services minister Jane
Hutt announced earlier this month.

Hutt said that the money will be available from 2004-05 to all
social care and mental health voluntary bodies.

“The funding will assist organisations such as Mind Cymru,
Mencap Wales, the Down’s Syndrome Association and People
First Wales, to continue to provide information, help and support
to the people of Wales,” she added.
