Register needed for private fostering

Government plans to give local authorities new responsibilities to
police and monitor private fostering do not go far enough. The
majority of visitors to Community Care‘s website believe
that without a register the plans fall short of what is
required.

Fifty-six per cent said a register was needed with 44 per cent
saying it was not necessary.
