Councils must solve their own problems

Posters urging people not to give money to street beggars were
launched by London councils Camden and Westminster this week. The
campaign claims the money is likely to be used to buy hard drugs,

The majority of visitors to Community Care‘s website
thought that paying another local authority to come in and manage
services was not the best way to deal with failing social
services.

Almost 60 per cent thought this was not the way to address
problems, while 42 per cent thought it was a good idea.
