Care in the Capital Week

Care in the Capital Week is w/c 20th September 2004
(Including Working in London Focus on Thursday 23rd
September).

For the 3rd year, Community Care is running its
successful ‘Care in the Capital Week’. As in previous
years, the main aim of this week will be focusing on Recruitment
and Retention issues facing social care within the capital. This
year Community Care will also be promoting a campaign
looking at positive images of social care, with a special emphasis
on branding and communication.

As part of this years ‘Care in the Capital’
Community Care will be publishing a feature entitled
‘Working in London’. This feature will consist of a
minimum 12 pages of editorial.

Among the subjects covered will be:

  • The specific challenges of inner city social work
  • Organisational change in London, including the impact of
    Children’s trusts.
  • Supporting Key Workers in London, looking at affordable housing
    and benefits.
  • Child protection and family support with black and ethnic
    minority people post Victoria Climbie.

The ‘Working in London’ feature will also give
important information and statistics about every London Borough. It
will cover pressing recruitment issues, specific within the social
care market, and some of the issues of most concern to existing
staff and those coming to work in London for the first time.

Recruitment Advertising Offer

As well as the in depth editorial, Community Care is

    the closing date

    online.

NB: Both the repeat advert and Regional JobsXtra need to be
