Public order ‘Ned-busters’ spook the street vandals

Edinburgh Council has declared war on “neds” (aka “yobs”) with new
squads to tackle antisocial behaviour.

The three rapid response “ned-busting” teams will help other
agencies, including police and housing associations, to deal with
graffiti, vandalism and other problems in neighbourhoods from next
week.

Along the lines of the Ghostbusters film characters, they will be
“ready, able and trained” to swoop on troublespots.
