Paying penalty for life in the fast lane

Working in social care increases your chance of receiving a
speeding ticket, research reveals.

The survey, commissioned by insurance company Isle of Man
Assurance, places a career in social services in the top 10
occupations of UK motorists most likely to be caught by speed
cameras.

The study blames a “personality disposition” among social
services staff for their high ranking.

It claims an estimated 70 per cent of social workers have
“A-type psychological profiles”, meaning they are prone to be
rushed, impatient and perfection seeking.  This may make them
suited to their job, but it also makes them likely to join the
300,000 motorits currently banned for speeding offences.
