Who has had the biggest influence on you?
My parents, who have taken some hard decisions in their lives to
better mine. As an artist, the Impressionist and Surrealist
movements.

Which professional has been most help?
The occupational therapy department at Queen Mary’s
Hospital who helped me develop some gadgets to make life
easier.

If you ran care services in your area what would you do
differently?
Provide enough funding to users so they could attract
quality personal assistants.

Name one thing to improve your life?
A studio so I can become financially independent by
selling my paintings.

What three words best describe you?
Generous, charismatic and sincere.

What event most changed your life?
Moving into my own flat after living in various
institutions for 25 years.

Has any government policy ever benefited you
personally?
The independent living fund and direct payments.

Who is your dream date?
A weekend with Jennifer Aniston.

What is your greatest achievement?
Driving my wheelchair from John O’Groats to Lands End.

What is the most important lesson you have learned?
Always be honest. Never let anger rule your head but talk
through situations.
