Who do you most admire?
Sufferers of severe mental illness.

Name one thing that would make your life better?
Being respected as a patient of the NHS who suffers with
severe mental illness and not as a user of the NHS.

Who has had the biggest influence on you?
Myself and the realisation of what I can possibly achieve in life.

Which professional has helped you most?
Paul, my Rethink carer.

What event most changed your life?
Being awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Travel
Fellowship which funded me to travel in Nepal for five weeks and
trek to Everest base camp. The award boosted my confidence and
helped me to feel some worth in my life.

If you won the lottery how would you spend it?
Travelling and discovering other cultures. And building a
new house.

What makes you happy?
My dog, Beau, and girlfriend, Jane.

When were you last angry?
Last year over the poor I treatment received from a mental health
trust.

Who would you like to swap places with?

President Bush. I’m sure I could make the world a greater place.

How would you like to be remembered?
As someone who helped others and made changes for the
better.

What is the most important lesson you have
learned?


That anything is possible.
