Andrew Lansley, the shadow minister responsible for social care and health, has retained his post following a reshuffle by the new leader of the Conservative Party.
David Cameron, the former shadow education secretary, has appointed David Willetts to fill that role. And he named Paul Goodman as shadow minister for child care, in his Treasury team.
Cameron has also set up a social justice policy group, under former party leader Iain Duncan Smith, to study the “causes and consequences of poverty”.
It will focus on issues such as care for older people, family policy, parenting, child care, and treatment for addiction.
