Charity urges greater support for families

Parentline Plus is calling for more family support services to help parents cope with teenagers.

The plea came as the charity published a report today which found that many parents feel they are failing, have little influence over their teenagers, and are concerned about binge drinking, drugs, sex and peer pressure.

The report also recommends more support for fathers and greater engagement between parents and schools.

Parentline Plus consulted with parents for its survey and asked visitors to its website to share experiences.
