Boy of 9 faces charge of rape
A nine-year-old has been charged with raping a three-year-old girl.
The alleged attack is believed to have come to light after the girl simulated a sex act with her dolls.
Police refused to release details of the allegation. The alleged rape is believed to have happened in Dundee last September.

MSP calls for forced birth control for addicts
An MSP said yesterday that contraceptives should be added to methadone to stop drug addicts having children.
Duncan McNeil said the executive should look at adding some sort of oral contraceptive to the heroin substitute which is prescribed to thousands of addicts.

Parents face faith school transport charge
A Welsh council has changed its policy so parents will have to pay for their children’s transport to faith schools unless they are of the same denomination as the school.
The policy, being implemented by Torfaen Council, will come into effect in September. At present parents who choose not to send their child to the feeder school for their area have to pay for school transport but if a child goes to a faith school outside their area the travel is free.
