Children with autism to meet children’s commissioner

A group of children with autism are to meet with the Children’s Commissioner Al Aynsley-Green to deliver a new report on the experiences of schoolchildren with the condition.

The National Autistic Society (NAS) report is expected to highlight problems faced by children with autism at school including bullying and poor mental health.

Children will be meeting the Commissioner to launch the report next week and will seek his support for the NAS Make School Make Sense campaign that calls for better provision for children with autism.
