Key issues analysed at Community Care Live Scotland

Social care professionals gather in a fortnight for Community Care Live Scotland Community Care Live Scotland on 1 and 2 November in Edinburgh.

A programme of panel discussions and workshops will cover key issues for social care professionals working in Scotland. Speakers includes frontline social workers, service users and high profile names from the Scottish social work scene.

Subjects covered are wide ranging and include services for children whose parents misuse substances, depression in older people, parents with learning difficulties, adoption, and fostering.

One workshop will show delegates what it’s like for young physically disabled people to move from childhood to adult life. One year on, the practice and policy implications of the 21st Century Social Work Review will be analysed.

Community Care Live Scotland takes place on 1 and 2 November at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. It is free for social care professionals, who can register online.
