Social worker admonished for misconduct

Social worker Gloria Eaton has been found to have committed misconduct and has been admonished by the General Social Care Council.
The conduct committee found that Eaton, from Trowbridge, had the potential to cause serious harm by failing to report a belief that a bail condition involving a vulnerable child had been breached.
It also found that she was guilty of misconduct for initiating contact with a 15-year-old child, a former service user, six months after she had been dismissed by Wiltshire Council.
The 30-month admonishment – a caution and public record – will be placed on Eaton’s entry in the social care register. Her interim suspension order has been revoked.
