A feature to be published in next week’s Community Care magazine suggests social care is fast becoming a happier place to work, with advances being made in working practices and work-life balance.
The 2006 City and Guilds Annual Happiness Index placed social workers 13th and care workers seventh out of 28 professions surveyed. And Sandwell Community Caring Trust achieved second place in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies To Work For survey in the same year.
