Will the new tobacco sales law deter young people from smoking?

According to the BBC, the government hopes the move will reduce the number of young people who smoke and make it easier for retailers to spot under-age smokers.

But will the law change have any impact? Will it stop the young people you work with getting into smoking or will it just make it seem more illicit and glamourous.
