A new ad campaign featuring plasticine characters created by the team behind Wallace and Gromit was launched this week to challenge attitudes to disability.
The campaign, called Creature Discomforts, was launched by Leonard Cheshire Disability and highlights the disadvantage and discrimination that disabled people experience every day, largely as a result of the ignorance of the wider population.
Aardman Animations has created four animations for the campaign, and designed new characters including a bull terrier in a wheelchair, a stick insect with a walking stick and a tortoise on crutches.
The animations are based on the geniune voices of disabled people describing in their own words the negative attitudes and barriers they experience.
See a selection of the new characters below and for a preview of the campaign.
