The Law Lords have ruled that the Court of Appeal wrongly overturned a ruling that asylum-seekers should be sent back to camps in Sudan yesterday in a judgement that will prevent the grounds under which asylum can be granted in Britain.

Child ban for ‘sexual touching’ teacher

An English teacher cautioned by police for an inappropriate relationship with a pupil will never be able to work with children again, having been added to the government’s List 99 of barred individuals.

Jo Gorman was suspended from her job at Paignton Community and Sports College, Devon, after being cautioned for “intentional sexual touching by a person in a position of trust”.
