Tender for the provision of domiciliary care services

Tender for the provision of domiciliary care services

Invitation to Apply for a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire

Wolverhampton City Council, with a reputation for providing quality services to its citizens, is seeking to contract with a number of providers from the independent and voluntary sector, for the provision of domiciliary care services for older people and adults with disabilities.

The Council intends to purchase services and award contracts across the City in three localities, north east, south east and south west, which reflect the current parliamentary constituency boundaries.

These contracts will be awarded on a cost and volume basis with a guaranteed minimum order of 500 hours per week to each provider at a prescribed hourly rate or pro rata equivalent.

Expressions of interest are invited from organisations that are established, registered with the CSCI, and have substantial experience of the provision of personal care and practical support within a diverse and multi cultural area. There is a requirement for the providers to have an office base in the city or within three miles of the city boundary.

Contracts will have a phased start date during the winter of 2008/09 with a view to being fully operational by 1 April 2009 and will be awarded for a three year period with an option to extend based on performance. The guaranteed minimum hours will be re-negotiated after two years to take into account the impact of the development of the personalisation agenda on the service.

Organisations who wish to be considered as a potential provider should request a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and associated information by contacting:
