INVITATION TO TENDER

Carers Support Service

Directorate of Care

The Trust, which was formed on 1st September 2007, wishes to develop a new Carers Support Service in the borough of North East Lincolnshire.

Within North East Lincolnshire we aim to ensure carers are effectively supported through the provision of integrated and personalised services, to assist them in their caring role, balance commitments and maintain a life outside of caring.  The Service will provide and coordinate a range of services to help fulfil this aim, including information/ advice, emotional support, informal advocacy, lifelong learning, support groups, holistic therapy and more generally publicity, promotion and awareness raising of carers issues and services.

Following local consultation the preferred model will be a hub of building based core services with outreach services being developed on an ongoing basis.

The Service Provider will need to demonstrate they can deliver high quality services with measurable outcomes for all adult carers, including parent carers.  Experience of working across a wide range of service user groups and carers and partnership working is required.

An initial contract of three years will be offered, commencing from 1 April 2009 with a possible extension of a further two years.
