Tender Opportunities

Swindon Borough Council is currently undertaking three separate tender exercises within Adult Social Care. We aretherefore seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the following services.

Extra Care Support Service for Older People

This opportunity is for the provision of 24 hour Domiciliary Care Support Services to Older People living within our three Extra Care Schemes and the brand new scheme due to open in September 2009.

Contracts will start from 1 April 2009 and will be for an initial period of three years with the option to extend for a further one or two years.

Community Based Support Services(including Supported Living) for Adults with a Learning Disability

This opportunity if for the provision a range of Community Based Services for adults with a learning disability including supported living, outreach services and day opportunities.

A number of framework contracts will be awarded as a result of this exercise and providers will have the opportunity to submit tenders relating to any number of the categories below:

  • General Needs
  • Challenging Behaviour
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorders
  • Complex Physical and Health Needs
  • Contracts will start from 1 April 2009 and will be for an initial period of three years with the option to extend for a further one or two years.

    10 Nursing Beds for Hospital Discharge and Crisis Services within the Borough of Swindon

    This opportunity is for the provision of up to 10 nursing beds to facilitate hospital discharge and avoid hospital admission during crisis. This service will be provided within the borough of Swindon. Bidders will be given the opportunity to bid for 4, 6 or 10 beds.

    Contracts will start from 5 May 2009 and will be for an initialperiod of three years with the option to extend for a further one or two years.

    Each of these tenders will be carried out in two stages.

    Interested parties will be asked to complete a Pre-QualificationQuestionnaire and the shortlisted candidates will subsequentlybe invited to submit a tender.

    The Service Specification, along with appropriate guidance,will be provided in the Pre-Qualification pack.Expressions of interest must be submitted via e-mail to therelevant contact by 12 noon on 26 September 2008

    Completed questionnaires are to be returned by post by12 noon on 10 October 2008
