Invitation to tender: Intensive Intervention Project in Partnership with Northamptonshire Youth Offending Service Prevention Team

New AssetNorthamptonshire Youth Offending Service Prevention Teamis seeking interest from organisations with appropriate expertise to provide:-

  • An Intensive Intervention Project for young people in Northamptonshire.

    The Intensive Intervention Project is a new government initiative coming out of the Youth Taskforce Action Plan published earlier this year.

    Northamptonshire has been awarded funding to provide oneof 20 pilot projects working with some of the most challenging and vulnerable young people across the county. Providers of the above services must be able to demonstrate a commitment to and experience of tackling the factors that contribute toAnti-Social Behaviour, offending behaviour, lack of school attendance.

    They will need knowledge of education, training and employment for young people and experience in the field of family support and understanding of legislation relating to public protection and safeguarding children and young people.It is anticipated that the contract will run from Mid-February2009 to 31st March 2011 – with the funding for year 2010/11subject to satisfactory progress against agreed targets and evaluation by the DCSF.

    Northamptonshire County Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the above services. The closing date for receipt of completed tenders will be 12:00 Friday 16th January 2009.
