Expressions of Interest for the provision of a Domiciliary Care Service for Willow Court Extra Care Housing Scheme

The tender is for the provision of a 24 hour Domiciliary Care Service for Pennine Housing’s new Extra Care Housing Scheme, currently being built in Elland, West Yorkshire. The scheme for older people will open in September2009 and will comprise 52 self contained apartments with communal facilities.

The care service, being commissioned by Calderdale Council, will promote independence, dignity, choice, be flexible and responsive to meet a range of needs and be in line with the changing agenda to improve services to older people.

Providers must be able to demonstrate:

  • a sound understanding of extra care housing
  • continuous development andinnovation
  • a commitment to partnership working.

    The contract term will be for 3 years with an option for the Council to extend the contract for a further period of up to 2 years.

    Organisations that wish to apply to be included on a selected list of tenderers will be required to complete a questionnaire and provide supporting documentation.

    Expressions of interest can be submitted by completing a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, which must be returned no later than 12 noon on Friday 13 February 2009.
