East Riding of Yorkshire Council

East Riding of Yorkshire Council was assessed as a 4 Star Council in the Comprehensive Performance Assessment in Summer 2008, and Children’s Services judged to be Good in the 2008 Joint Area Review. Children’s Services is currently on a journey from Good to Outstanding and are looking for partners to assist us inachieving our ambition. Following a service review we are reconfiguring services with an aim of improving quality of provision and improved outcomes for children, young people and families.East Riding of Yorkshire Council are committed to providing services, which represent value for money. We are looking to work with organisations to provide the following services:

Early Intervention Service (Bridlington)

As part of our preventative strategy a service is required to provide access to early support for families with children under the age of 5 to enable parents to keep their children safe, and to enable their children to achieve positive outcomes.The service will be provided in Bridlington area, which includes some wards with the highest level of depravation inEast Riding of Yorkshire.

As part of our preventative strategy a service is required to provide access to early support for families with children under the age of 5 to enable parents to keep their children safe, and to enable their children to achieve positive outcomes.The service will be provided in Goole area, which includes some wards with the highest level of depravation in East Riding of Yorkshire.

Short Break Support for Disabled Children & Families

As part of a wide range of support services for disabled children and young people with severe and complex needs (including Health).A Short Break Service is required to provide short breaks during the day and opportunities for children and young people to engage in positive experiences and activities and give parent carers a break.

Support for Disabled Children & Young People Accessing Social & Leisure Activities

The service will support and enable disabled children and young people with severe and complex needs (including Health needs), to access social and leisure opportunities during all school holidays with the exception of Christmas.The service will also assist disabled children and young people and those with significant additional needs(including Health needs) who are at risk of exclusion and are not accessing mainstream social orleisure activities in their local area.The service will enable them to access activities through individual support or supporting organisations to be more inclusive.

Young Carers & Siblings Service

Provide support and services for hildren and young people whoselife is affected by undertaking significant caring tasks for at least one family member and are assessed as needing support and quality time for themselves.

CS06/09 Electronic Child Care Procedures

To work in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Councilto develop and maintain electronic enabled Policies and Procedures for Children’s Social Care Services. The policy and procedures are required to support operational staff to practice within current legislation and to best practice standards.

Organisations may wish to apply for one or more of the above services. All the above contracts are for 3 years, with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
