Expressions of interest for Lambeth Carers Hub – Lambeth Adults and Community Services Department & Primary Care Trust

The London Borough of Lambeth and Lambeth Primary Care Trust is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced, suitably qualified, providers/organisations to provide office based, outreach and/or an interactive virtual hub service for carers in Lambeth.

The Council will consider Expressions of Interest from all organisations including Black and Minority Ethnic groups (BME), Small, Medium Enterprises (SME) and Consortia. Tenderers may bid for one or both services.

Lambeth Council and Lambeth Primary Care Trust are committed to supporting carers in Lambeth in their caring role. Lambeth’scarers must have information that is relevant, up to date, accessible and delivered on time. The aim of the service is to ensure carers have access to independent advice, advocacy, information,assessment and resources, support their general well-being, and promote their independence.

Services in the Hub include:

  • Financial advice
  • Co-ordination of Carers Week
  • Facilitation of Carers Forum
  • Carers Register
  • General information and advice
  • Specific telephone/online advice service
  • Outreach work
  • Carers information packs

    Interactive and virtual hub service – we are also seeking to develop and maintain a virtual hub with a one stop online service for carers to access information and advice.

    The contract for both services will be let for a period of 3 years withan option to extend for a further 2 years. The successful service provider(s) must demonstrate their ability to:

  • deliver services in partnership with others within a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment
  • promote and provide easy access to advice and information from ac ombination of integrated services
  • recruit a suitably skilled work force, and have the resources available to provide a high quality, sensitive service in an effective and efficient manner in accordance with good practice
  • provide premises from which services can operate for up to a year.

    It is a pre-requisite that organisations wishing to provide a service to the London Borough of Lambeth have successfully gone through a pre-qualification process by either completing the Council’s Business Questionnaire or be Exor accredited.
