Community Care’s adoption columnist shortlisted for prestigious media award

Community Care’s adoption columnist Sally Donovan has been shortlisted for a prestigious PPA Award.

Sally, who writes about her experiences as an adoptive parent of two children, is among the contenders for the Columnist of the Year – Business Media award.

Her nomination follows her success at the British Society of Magazine Editors’ Awards, where she was named the business media Columnist of the Year, and the publication of her book No Matter What last year.

Three other members of the Community Care team have also been shortlisted for PPA awards.

Community Care editor Ruth Smith has been nominated as business media Editor of the Year and senior journalist Andy McNicoll is among the contenders for the business media Writer of the Year.

Claire Jenkinson, Community Care’s managing director, has been nominated for the Publisher/Manager of the Year prize.

The PAA awards take place on 10 July in central London.
