Tender for Older Persons Community Independence Services in Hampshire

Hampshire County Council invite suitably experienced providers to tender for the provision of a community based service offering time-limited support (maximum of twelve weeks) specifically for older people aged over 55 who fall on the cusp of Adult Services eligibility criteria in order to maximise their long term independence. The Service will be delivered in the community and referrals into the service will come via the Community Independence Teams.

In order to achieve a balanced and sustainable market share for suppliers of Older Persons Community Independence Services, work will be divided into designated geographical zones. This will be balanced against current need data and projections of demand across the life of any potential contracts. A geographical area may contain both urban and rural locations with differing commercial pressures and opportunities.

The contract will be for a period of three years, with an option to extend for a period or periods not exceeding three years in total.  The maximum budget available across all lots for the tendered services is £4,500,000 for a total period of 6 years (£750,000 per annum).  Anticipated contract commencement will be 1st April 2015.

More details regarding this tendering opportunity will be available to view on Hampshire County Council’s e-tendering system, In-Tend, from 14 August 2014.
