Hundreds of social workers from across England attended the 2014 Social Worker of the Year Awards, which celebrate the outstanding achievements of individual practitioners and social work teams.

This year’s ceremony was held on Friday 28 November at the Lancaster London Hotel and Zahraa Adam, an NQSW at Essex County Council, was crowned the overall winner.

The awards, for which Community Care is the official media partner, were founded in 2006 by independent social worker Beverley Williams.
