Social Care Provision in Extra Care Housing

Hampshire County Council invite suitably experienced providers to tender for the provision of Extra Care Services across Hampshire.

The services tendered will be in 6 lots. The services will provide social care services within Extra-Care housing schemes to ensure the wellbeing of residents (including those with dementia) 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing non-institutional, personalised services and delivering planned care and unplanned care during the day and at night. This will include through services using innovative solutions.

Service providers will work to ensure people do not need to move to alternative higher level statutory services (such as residential care, nursing care or hospital admissions) but are instead are enabled to choose to remain living in their home, to maintain their dignity, daily living skills, motivation and confidence and so live a fulfilling and meaningful life. It is expected that individuals will be supported to have maximum opportunity for active participation within the local community rather than becoming passive recipients of services.

The contract term for each lot is for a maximum of 4 years, with an option to extend for a further 3 years (1+1+1). The anticipated commencement date for each lot contract is 29th September 2016.

The maximum annual budget available for the 6 lots combined will be up to £4,549,491 per annum.

Organisations interested in being considered for this opportunity will be required to register with and apply through Hampshire County Council’s online tendering opportunities portal: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire/
