Time for a change: exciting head of service roles at Kirklees Council

A feature sponsored by Kirklees Council

Kirklees is one of the largest West Yorkshire authorities with a growing and diverse population. Our journey to “New Council” is building a radically different organisation so this is an exciting opportunity to join our thriving council, and make a key contribution to this challenging objective.

We have begun a radical redesign of our children’s social care services to ensure what we deliver is driven by the needs of children, young people and families. You will lead your teams to deliver a service where children and young people feel safe, are consulted about their concerns, are listened to and responded to with appropriate actions.

We are looking for dynamic and passionate leaders to provide strategic and operational management for key functions within the service. You will inspire our employees through a time of considerable change, providing a supportive framework in which individuals and teams can develop and strengthen their performance to deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families.

You will need to hold a professional social work qualification and be HCPC registered (except the head of sufficiency).

Do you have the skills and experience to ensure effective future outcomes? Then it’s time to talk.

For a confidential discussion, please contact Nick Raper on 07715 690463, David Slatter on 0121 779 1662 or Helen Alwell on 0121 779 1674 at our recruitment partners Penna.
