Community Care continues to seek feedback from adults’ social workers on the use of funding panels in a short survey that can be completed anonymously.
The survey follows concerns raised from practitioners and legal experts, among them claims that funding panels are not being used in line with Care Act 14 statutory guidance.
It asks participants to tell Community Care about their experiences with funding panels and their applied use in adults’ services.
There is still time to take part in the survey, which closes on 13th December 2017. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

I think a better definition of a panel is needed and an explanation of why it’s not ‘legal’. Quality assurance is one thing, but if something has to be submitted or discussed at another meeting and the outcome of which is yes or no, then it’s a panel in my opinion.
