Registration has opened for Community Care Live Manchester, offering two days of free essential learning to help social workers and managers meet the key challenges of their day-to-day jobs.

This year’s event, on 24-25 April, includes even more legal learning than last year – on topics including section 20 accommodation, deprivation of liberty among young people and the lessons from Care Act case law.

Our dedicated stream for children’s social workers includes advice on tackling cross-county child criminal exploitation, while for adults’ practitioners there will be sessions on working with people with personality disorder and dealing with coercive control.

We also have a stream of dedicated sessions for managers covering topics as diverse as reintegrating people returning from Syria, the social work contribution to tackling homelessness and embedding the knowledge and skills statements in your performance management systems.

Keep your eye on our website for updates to the programme and details of our speakers.

Community Care Live offers you the chance to network with hundreds of professionals from across the country and meet with local authorities, recruiters, universities, providers and charities in our buzzing exhibition.

Register now for this year’s event.
