Public service union Unison is considering reopening the current pay deal, as members fear that inflation will wipe out increases next year. Social workers are set to receive 1.4 per cent plus £100 from June 1995 until April 1996, as part of a two-year agreement. 'There is a clause which says that in exceptional circumstances...the unions retain the right to reopen the claim,' said John Findlay, social services spokesperson.
