A former professional officer for the British Association of Social Workers has been reprimanded for giving "inaccurate and misleading" evidence in a family court hearing.
Deborah Borley, a children's social worker at Swansea Council, received a three-year admonishment from a Care Council for Wales conduct committee.
The misconduct related to a child protection case at Cardiff County Court in December 2006, where Borley gave evidence regarding visits to parents while working for an agency.
At the conduct hearing in Cardiff, she denied misconduct but was found to have committed five breaches of the code of practice for social care workers. The committee found she acted dishonestly and failed to communicate in an "open, accurate and straightforward way".
