The Victoria Climbie Inquiry has been forced to employ extra staff to cope with the new material provided by Haringey council, which is almost three times as much as originally believed.
Counsel for the inquiry Neil Garnham said that the 263 documents handed over by Haringey on Monday were infact 263 categories of documents comprising in excess of 630 individual documents.
Garnham said the new documents relevant to the next two witnesses Angella Mairs and Petra Kitchman would be circulated to all interested parties today.
Mairs, Lisa Arthurworrey's supervisor, will give evidence to the inquiry today (Friday), and will respond to allegations that she removed pages from Victoria Climbie's file after her death.
Kitchman, a social work supervisor at the north Tottenham office, is due to appear before the inquiry on Monday.
