Drug and alcohol problems among people from ethnic minorities are to be the focus of a major new study announced by Glasgow council.
The move follows research by the council last year which indicated a higher ratio of drug-related deaths in the Asian community than expected. The council then noted that these figures contrasted with a low uptake of addiction rehabilitation services by people from all ethnic minority backgrounds.
The results of the study are expected later this year.
