Chris Holmes has quit homelessness charity Shelter after seven years as the organisation's director.
Holmes intends to continue his work on housing, homelessness and social policy issues, concentrating on the need for more affordable housing and new ways of tackling homelessness.
Ben Jackson, Shelter's director of external affairs said: "Chris has made a huge contribution to Shelter and his departure will be a great loss."
