The Social Care Institute for Excellence has named three priority areas it intends to focus on over the next year.

Work will be carried out on good practice in fostering, involving service users and carers in the planning and provision of services, and improving human resource management in social care agencies.

Scie, the Department of Health and the Welsh assembly have agreed the priorities and a detailed programme of project work will be considered by Scie's board in August.
